My husband keeps using my pregnancy to get days off from work?
Ever since i told my husband i was pregnant he went off to his job and opened his big mouth and everyone there knew. He's been using excuses throughout my entire pregnancy to get off early from work, to call into work and not have to come in and to get by with being late to work. All of the excuses he's told them for the most part have been lies or over exaggerations. I am starting to dilate now, i'm 39 weeks pregnant and he said he's going to work the rest of the week and then take off for 3 weeks because of my pregnancy. But he's not going to do anything anyway, so why the hell is he taking off?! I know he's just going to sit around and play his video games, smoke his pot and use whatever time he has left to invest in his alone time and whatever else he wants to do. This is really bothering me, we can't afford for him to take that much time off. Why is he doing this and how can i tell him he needs to work all the way up until the baby is born without starting a fight?
Communicate with him and tell him
If he continues, he may not have a job.

40+5 weeks pregnant and fed up... How long do they leave you in uk before induction?
Hi ladies. This is my second child, with my first I was only 2 days over. This pregnancy has been completly different and I haven't even had any sort of sign that little one is on her way. Tried all the usual methods- sex, walking, spicy food, clary sage oil and midwife has given me a sweep but so far no luck. How long do they leave you with your second child before inducing you? Thanks xx
Hospitals vary, but anywhere from 11-14 days, so long as you and the baby are healthy and the placenta is still working well.
Have you asked for another membrane sweep? They're quite effective at kick-starting labour. You can have another if your midwife thinks you're not going to labour anytime soon.
You wouldn't want to be induced - it is soooo much more painful. I was induced at 38w and it was hell.
All cardiologists will be called on to assess and manage pregnant women, however the majority have had little or no training in the subject. In the same way, obstetricians assess women with cardiac conditions, and therefore require the knowledge to both refer patients with heart disease as well as to manage them through the pregnancy. However a recent enquiry into maternal deaths has highlighted that morbidity and mortality of women with heart disease in pregnancy has continued to increase over the last 15 years and substandard care has been identified in 40% of cases. Recommendations have been made that women with, or at risk of, heart disease are screened and counselled on the appropriate risks of undergoing a pregnancy, and as a result all physicians involved need a good understanding of the subject and access to the relevant information. A concise handbook written for cardiology and obstetric trainees and consultants, as well as specialist nurses and midwives, Heart Disease in Pregnancy provides a detailed introduction to the physiological changes of pregnancy and gives practical advice on the management of women with heart disease who are pregnant or who are considering pregnancy. It also provides the relevant obstetric knowledge and processes needed for a cardiologist to successfully manage a pregnant woman.
Introducing the newest addition to the WHAT TO EXPECT family: an indispensable "dateless" 42-week pregnancy planner and appointment-keeper for the wall that starts the day a woman discovers she's a mother-to-be and continues through delivery. Created by the authors of America's pregnancy bible with over ten million copies in print, this is the perfect place to record personal pregnancy dates and notes while keeping track of appointments, questions for the doctor, fetal movements, shopping lists, weight gain, and anything else. A 10" x 10" wire-o-bound grid, the conveniently sized planner will hang in the office, kitchen, bedroom, or wherever it's needed. It covers 42 weeks (the usual 40-week gestation period, plus two extra weeks in case baby arrives late), displaying two weeks on each page. Weeks 1 to 22 are on the front pages. Then flip the entire calendar for weeks 23 to 42 on the back. Not only are the dates left to be filled in, but the days are, too. So if Day One for a woman is a Wednesday, that becomes the lead-off day on the grid. The planner is illustrated throughout with full-color watercolors by Judith Cheng and packaged in a decorative gift box, The WHAT TO EXPECT PREGNANCY PLANNER is a must-have for every expecting woman. Reassuring tips and advice appear on every page.

Did you ever wonder about the historical accuracy of those "traditional family values" touted in the heated arguments that insist our cultural ills can be remedied by their return? Of course, myth is rooted in fact, and certain phenomena of the 1950s generated the Ozzie and Harriet icon. The decade proved profamily--the birthrate rose dramatically; social problems that nag--gangs, drugs, vio...

Did you have the same pre labor signs the second pregnancy?
I was just wondering how different your pre labor signs were from your first pregnancy? I'm due any day now with my second son, and with my first I never had any BH, loss of mucus plug or experienced my water breaking. I'm so curious to know if this time around will be the same, since I'm at 39 weeks and 2 days and so far haven't had any labor symptoms. What were your experiences?
I'm not 35 weeks and have had BH already I've noticed pain in my private region. My son is almost 7 now and with him I didn't have any labor signs till the actual labor started the hospital had to break my water I never lost my plug man do I hope I get a few more signs this time. Good Luck!
