I am thinking about getting a full back portrait tattoo and was wondering if anyone knew:
1. I know there is a chance to get stretch marks (pregnancy) through the tattoo, but if the face were to be in the middle of my back, on my spine, would it be less likely to be affected?
2. Would the tattoo be effected if I were to get an epidural?
(I am not pregnant right now, but for the future..)
I was just wondering with the insertion of needles, if they leave any marks or anything..
If you know the answers to these questions, let me know! Thank you!
You will be very interested to know that little information is available about the safety of skin dyes used for tattooing during pregnancy. It is possible that the chemicals in the dye may affect the development of the baby during the first 12 weeks, but the risks are unknown, as are any effects on the baby during the remainder of the pregnancy.
Some women may have also heard that if they have a tattoo on their back, then they will be unable to get an epidural. Very few studies have been done on the risks that could exist for women who have back tattoos and receive an epidural. So far none of these studies have conclusively found any data that shows that there are risks, so most anesthesiologists have no problem giving an epidural to a woman with a back tattoo. If you want an epidural and have a tattoo on your back, it still would be best to contact the hospital and find out the policy in regard to tattoos and epidurals.
The risk of contracting an infection is small, but you could pass the infection to your baby if you are breastfeeding. Ultimately it's your decision, but you may want to wait until you are not breastfeeding to get a new tattoo

Dr. McArthur starts with a simple belief: that no one needs to suffer from the pain of acid reflux. Acid reflux disease (GERD) affects over twenty million Americans, and that number is growing. Though reflux sufferers often try to ignore the pain, the disease has a big impact on their lives, as well as those of their families. But thanks to recent medical advances, nearly everyone with reflux can ...
Okay, I'm planning on writing a story about a pregnant mother who lost her twin 4 year daughters in a car accident. The other remaining 2 kids survived. She and her husband where so upset about the loss, they were considering aborting the baby. They go to the doctor, but they find out that the mom is too far along in her pregnancy for abortion. They go through with the pregnancy, and have a little boy.
When high-school junior Ashley Salazar learned she was pregnant, she immediately started a blog to document the difficult, life-altering experience. Little did she know how life-altering it would actually be. Later, she applied online to be considered for the cast of MTV’s hit show 16 & Pregnant. The show responded quickly and her story will be told as the season 2 finale in a special 90-minute episode aired in December 2010. Her memoir takes the viewer further back and further forward, and chronicles the tortured indecision she faces as she decides whether its best for her baby to give her up for adoption or take the dramatic step toward motherhood.
What’s the best revenge when your best friend ditches you for the popular crowd? Alyson Noël reveals all in her hot new young adult novel. As freshmen at Ocean High last year, Winter and her best friend Sloane thought they could ditch their nerdy past, launching from invisible to cool. But after another miserable year of standing on the sidelines they make a pact to do whatever it takes not to go unnoticed in their sophomore year, promising each other that whoever makes it into the cool group first will bring the other along. One Sloane gets a taste of life on the A-list, she slams that door in Winter’s face. Suddenly cast out of her former best friend’s life, Winter takes revenge the modern way: by announcing all of Sloane’s dirty little secrets on an anonymous blog. Then the blog becomes more popular than she ever dreamed and Winter must decide if her retaliation is really worth the consequences—and if the price for popularity is one she’s willing to pay. Once again, Alyson Noël navigates the tricky waters of the high school social scene with the heart and humor her readers have come to love.
Okay,
so im not on birth control..I havent been for 2 months..and I made a really dumb mistake. Me and my bf had sex but we did use anything((yes i know stupid but we've only been with eachother)) and he only went in and out about 5 times then he stopped because he said if he kept going he was going to cum and we didnt want anything to happend. Well I was supposed to get my period on the 10th.. and we had sex on the 11th..and I still havent gotten it..now ALSO i was on medicene for A.D.D. and it made me stop eating..so I was only eating like once a day and ive lost alot of weight and been really stressed..could that be a reason I havent gotten my period? I was talking to a friend and she said she she doesnt think what we did was enough for anything to happend, but there still may be a chance.
Ive also gone to a website and asked and even taken a "could you be pregnant" quiz and they all said..they doubt it.
I am pretty sure you are not pregnant because you had sex after your period was supposed to come so you've already ovulated and its probably because of the stress and weight loss and medication. That stuff can cause your menstrual cycle to become out of wack. Wait another week if it doesnt start call your doctor and find out whats up. Hope this helped alittle.
Does a decrease in pregnancy symptoms at 8/9 weeks mean something is wrong?
I am 9 weeks pregnant and it seems that my nausea and breast tenderness have really toned down over the last week or so. Thery are still there but not with the intensity that they were originally. I did just start taking a prenatal vitamin around the time of the decrease but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I had a miscarriage in my last pregnancy and I am of course thinking something else is wrong:( With this pregnancy we did see a heart beat at 6 weeks so I thought everything was fine...
By 8/9 weeks for me all my symptoms seemed to go away too. It was nice since I was feeling better but the worry that something was wrong, was ironically even worse. There were days I poked my chest so much to see if they were sore, that eventually I wasn't sure if they were actually sore because of baby or because of me poking. But yes, I've read and have been told that it's not uncommon for symptoms to start to decrease about now. Your HCG levels are begining to level out. By 13 weeks, hopefully (!) most of your sypmtoms will be next to nothing, although heh then come the new ones.
They say if you've seen a heartbeat then chances are good. But by all means, if you're really worried, speak with your doctor. Or call one of those health lines that hospitals sometimes have set up. Worse comes to worse you go in for a check up that even if you don't need it, the reassurance would probably help you.

My Partner is 33 weeks pregnant & all is going well (fingers crossed) however the baby is getting very comfortable sitting on my partners sciatic nerve (spelling not great) and this courses a lot of discomfort - she even got stuck on the stairs!!!
Can anyone suggest tried & tested methods of relief for this?
As a sufferer of this horrible pain whilst pregnant with all three babies, I found getting on all fours on the floor and gently rocking back and forth helped a great deal, I also bought a Bump Belt which holds your bump up and moves babs up too, if you live in UK you can get a mailorder catalogue called Blooming Marvellous, its got great gadgets in it that help you through pregnancy, birth etc!! Tell her good luck and the pain we go through is well worth it!! All the best to you both!!

hi
I'm 12 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I have two cats, one male(1 1/2) and a female (4months). the males behavior hasn't changed,he's still not that affectionate,as he was as a kitten. the female used to always lay with me,on my belly, and was really affectionate, recentley however, she ignores me and is always laying with my partner instead, which she never did before.i am wondering if this is because i am pregnant, and if she may be showing signs of jelousy. I still pick her up to cuddle and stroke her,but she is disinterested, whereas before she would respond possitively. If anyone has any info, i would greatly appreciate it.
sounds like you are right on the money. Cats and other animals have an extra sense about these things. Sometimes they know even before you do. Since cats cant talk your just gonna have to wait til the baby gets there or she gets over it within herself. She may see the baby as an intruder you are harboring, animals can be possesive, and since your husband is not, thats why hes her new buddy.
can someone help me with my pregnant cats odd behavior
