I need soy-free, lactose-free, pregnancy-appropriate recipes?
I'm planning a baby shower for a friend of mine and need to make sure that the food is safe for pregnant women. Also one of the guests is soy protein and lactose intolerant. I've found some great resources on what are NOT okay but am having difficulty thinking of tasty things that ARE okay.
Does anyone have any great suggestions for possible menu options?

Soy-free guidelines: http://www.evitamins.com/healthnotes.asp?ContentID=1299000
Lactose-free guidelines: http://www.gicare.com/Diets/Lactose-Free.aspx
I welcome any ideas. Thank you for your help!!!
Wow, that makes things pretty strict... Do the guests eat meat, or are you trying to steer clear of that as well? Some random non-meat things I can think of:
deviled eggs (check the mayonnaise label)
orzo or other pasta with roasted veggies, pine nuts, and dressing
veggie salads
stuffed mushrooms
fruit salads
omelets
bean dips
tapenades
vegetable antipasto platter
If the guests eat meat, you should be fine with most of your normal recipes (just be extra careful that the meat is very fresh, properly cooked, and carefully stored and handled at appropriate temperatures). Just a thought, but if you are on good terms with the lactose-intolerant guest you might ask whether they mind if you include dairy- they might have the habit of taking lactase enzyme supplements before eating dairy products to avoid symptoms.
Good luck with the shower, I'm sure it'll be a blast
Should pregnant women follow the new Choose MyPlate guidelines?
