I have a very, very close friend who believes she may be pregnant. However, she is afraid to ask anyone for help or answers, and so I'm doing this without her knowledge so I may get some answers for her. Now I need to know - she said that the last time she had sex was 2 months ago, in the beginning of July while on vacation. She also said that she had her period right on time following the trip. Now, I've been reading up on possibilities, and I've read about something called "implantation bleeding." I've read that it's only spotting, within 2 weeks of conception, if at all. But she had a full-on period as far as I'm aware. Is it still possible that she may be with child? She also told me that she hasn't experienced any symptoms of pregnancy at all, but the reason she's worried is that she's 2 days late this cycle, which should have began the 8th. If anyone could give me any tips that I may pass on to her, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
I seriously doubt that she's pregnant. This time of year is prime time for females to skip their periods or be late. She can go buy a home pregnancy test, but I'd bet lots of money that it's negative if she had a full period last month.

Wendie Old gets to the bottom of this and other questions in her informative and witty nonfiction picture book. Halloween riddles and ideas for throwing a Halloween party are included. Paige Billin-Frye, who previously teamed up with Wendie Old in The Groundhog Day Book of Facts and Fun, adds her comical and spooky illustrations to the text.
i am now 35 weeks pregnant , and have been suffering from reoccuring yeast infections since i was 14 weeks pregnant , my doctor prescribed several creams over these weeks , such as canesten, monistat, tera, and everytime the infection would just come back a week after finishing using the cream , now my doctor is telling me that since i am in my third trimester it is safe to use diflucan , but i am still hesitant to use it and would like to hear from someone who actually used it during her pregnancy and that it hadnt affected the baby and was safe to use. please only those who actually used it during their pregnancy reply , as i need reassurance from someone with experience.
thank you in advance.
helpful hint avoid sex, your partner may have the yeast infection and keeps giving it back to you, men show no symptoms but they get them and just keep giving them back to us lucky gals, there are homeopathic douches you can try, look into a herbal remedy after all all medicine first starts from a plant of some sort,
Also look on any site about diflucan, lots of women right in feedback on how it worked for them, good luck

I was a vegetarian until I got pregnant with my son. He's almost 11 now, and I recently saw photos on how chickens are treated. I would now like to become a vegetarian again. (This doesn't mean I'm going to make my son do the same, so please don't post such comments. Also kindly don't post "real girls eat meat...comments. I'm not going to change your mind, please don't try to change mine.)
Anyway, I'm looking into recipes without meat. I love chicken noodle soup, without the chicken. This requires the use of bullion cubes. Are those made with real chicken..."stuff"? How else are they made?
Oh, and if anyone has any sites with vegetarian recipes, especially for the crock-pot, that would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
"It is made by dehydrating vegetables, meat stock, a small portion of solid fat (such as hydrogenated oil), salt (usually well over 50%) and seasonings (usually including monosodium glutamate) and shaping them into a small cube. Dehydrated broth is also available in granular form."
Here are some good sites for vegetarian crock pot recipes:

The phenomenon of bleeding has been shown to appear in up to 22% of all pregnancies and is associated with significant maternal and fetal morbidities, and even mortality. Although vaginal bleeding occurs mainly during the first trimester, it can appear at any stage of pregnancy and in the postpartum period. This sometimes life-threatening event requires an extensive work-up in order to recognize its cause and establish a rapid and effective therapeutic approach. This book is a comprehensive appraisal of this critical condition. It draws on evidence-based data and brings together, in a single volume, updated information on all aspects of pregnancy-related bleeding. A global group of interdisciplinary experts contributed chapters on: bleeding during early pregnancy (early pregnancy loss, ectopic pregnancy, gestational trophoblastic disease, and cancer of the reproductive tract during pregnancy); bleeding in late pregnancy (preterm delivery, placental abruption, placenta previa, vasa previa and uterine rupture); and postpartum hemorrhage.

It`s 1976. Despite fierce international controversy over whether in vitro fertilization should ever be performed in humans, doctors around the world race to be first to produce a baby by this procedure.      Dr. Colin Sanford, a brilliant, ambitious obstetrician in the Pacific Northwest city of Hyetopolis, has a plan. He recruits Dr. Giselle Hearn, an experienced laboratory geneticist-embryologist at the University who`s frustrated by the ultra-conservative policies of her department chairman. Drs. Sanford and Hearn, working secretly, set out to put their names in history books.      Unfortunately, a secret that big is hard to keep, and Alma Wanego, Dr. Hearn`s lab supervisor, catches on and demands a blackmail payment.      Several months later, Dr. Sanford`s patient, Joyce Kennett, gives birth to a healthy boy, and Sanford prepares to make an announcement at a press conference. But before that can come about, Ms. Kennett`s marginally-schizophrenic husband kills Dr. Hearn and then himself.      Police Detective Bernie Baumgartner`s investigation is hampered by pressure from influential people at the University who want to control sensationalism that might harm the institution. The Chief of Police suggests the case be closed as the work of a mentally-unstable man who may have forgotten to take his medication. But dogged, tenacious Baumgartner suspects that Sanford and Hearn were in fact doing IVF, that they succeeded with the Kennetts, and that murder, suicide, and other crimes were the fallout. A double cat-and-mouse game develops between doctor and detective, and as stakes escalate, truth becomes an increasingly-evasive commodity.      A Perilous Conception begins a new series.

I didn't get the little joke that MK was telling on the Conan O'brien show. This is what she said:
The other day somebody asked me if he could make me tomato soup," she laughed to an appreciative O'Brien (hey, the guy sounds like a keeper). "I looked at him and said, 'I love tomato soup.'"
MK then revealed her heretofore hidden sense of humor by quipping, "And now I'm pregnant."
I am sure that you guys have heard about this but I didn't get the joke. Can someone plz explain? Answer if you actually got it and can explain it to me....
It's as if she went to this guy's home for some soup...and one thing led to another...and BAM.

Abe and his friend Sol are out for a walk together in a part of town they haven`t been in before. Passing a Christian church, they notice a curious sign in front that says "$1,000 to anyone who will convert." "I wonder what that`s about," says Abe. "I think I`ll go in and have a look. I`ll be back in a minute; just wait for me."Sol sits on the sidewalk bench and waits patiently for nearly half an hour. Finally, Abe reappears."Well," asks Sol, "what are they up to? Who are they trying to convert? Why do they care? Did you get the $1,000?"Indignantly Abe replies, "Money. That`s all you people care about."Ted Cohen thinks that`s not a bad joke. But he also doesn`t think it`s an easy joke. For a listener or reader to laugh at Abe`s conversion, a complicated set of conditions must be met. First, a listener has to recognize that Abe and Sol are Jewish names. Second, that listener has to be familiar with the widespread idea that Jews are more interested in money than anything else. And finally, the listener needs to know this information in advance of the joke, and without anyone telling him or her. Jokes, in short, are complicated transactions in which communities are forged, intimacy is offered, and otherwise offensive stereotypes and cliches lose their sting--at least sometimes.Jokes is a book of jokes and a book about them. Cohen loves a good laugh, but as a philosopher, he is also interested in how jokes work, why they work, and when they don`t. The delight at the end of a joke is the result of a complex set of conditions and processes, and Cohen takes us through these conditions in a philosophical exploration of humor. He considers questions of audience, selection of joke topics, the ethnic character of jokes, and their morality, all with plenty of examples that will make you either chuckle or wince. Jokes: more humorous than other philosophy books, more philosophical than other humor books.
